Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is hiring a Dryer 2 Material Handler at the Wayland, MI facility. The role supports the Production team, operating lift trucks, inspecting and supplying components to workstations, and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth dryer operation.

The position is full-time, 1st shift (8am–4pm), Thursday through Monday with Tue/Wed off, located in Wayland, MI. Applicants must follow GMP/SOP/HACCP/LOTO and food safety programs and be willing to work overtime, including weekends.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with operating a sit-down forklift.
  • The ability to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lift trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Read production schedule and supply components to the proper workstations without interruptions to production.
  • Keep accurate and legible records.
  • Maintain dryer operation and respond to plant needs to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, LOTO, and food safety programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description
About the Role

The Dryer Material Handler at the Wayland location provides support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Be able to learn to operate lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to read a production schedule and supply components and ingredients to the proper workstations without interruptions to production.
  • Must be able to keep accurate and legible records.
  • Must be able to keep up speed to keep dryer in operation.
  • Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Important Details

This is a full-time position on 1st shift, working Thursday through Monday with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. 1st shift operates 8am to 4pm.
