Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Housekeeper for the 2nd shift at our MI Wayland facility to clean equipment, walls, floors, and pipes and to sanitize, disassemble and re-assemble equipment as needed.

You will operate floor scrubbers, use safe chemical handling, and follow GMP/HACCP and safety procedures, with overtime and weekend work as required and shift differential for 2nd shift.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience following instructions and communicating effectively.
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
  • All employees are responsible for quality and food safety at the facility.

Responsibilities

Job Description:
About the Role:

The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning equipment, walls, floors and pipes, either by hand or using scrubbers and high-pressure cleaning equipment. In this role you will also sanitize, disassemble and re-assemble equipment, do general housekeeping. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Ability to safely operate floor scrubbers and high-pressure cleaning equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical usage and transportation.
  • Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Important Details:
  • This is a full-time position on 2nd shift working Thursday through Monday with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
  • 2nd shift operates 4pm to 12am
  • Shift differential included for 2nd and 3rd shift.

  • Experience with operating a sit-down forklift
  • The ability to work overtime and weekends
