Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated 1 on 1 Special Education Paraprofessional to support a CI Self Contained Student in daily learning activities. You will assist the classroom teacher with instructional materials and closely monitor student progress.

The role requires hands-on collaboration with teachers, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to adapt materials for individual needs. Prior experience with students and at-risk learners is preferred, with a focus on fostering

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit, an associate's degree or passage of a State approved test required.
• Michigan teaching certificate preferred.
• Assist the classroom instructor with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and work with individual classroom instructors.
• Experience working with students.
• Assist academically at-risk students in a classroom setting and in a individual tutoring.
