Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs within in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

The role involves one-on-one student support, implementing behavior plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You will assist with data recording, de-escalation strategies, and personal care needs while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with behavioral interventions in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals in the IEP, providing accommodations as needed.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans and record data on behaviors, progress, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes.
• Apply de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and, when necessary, safe restraints to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and support social/behavioral development.
• Supervise students and ensure safe movement to and from school locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as required by the student’s needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
