Responsabilités

• Assists the assigned student with self-help and self-care skills (e.g., moving between rooms, lavatory use, toileting).
• Performs simple errands for the student (e.g., sharpening pencils, carrying lunch trays).
• Accompanies the student to offices or other areas as appropriate.
• Establishes positive relationships with the student to encourage independent functioning.
• Serves as a resources contact with the student evaluation team.
• Participates in professional development related to the assignment.
• Facilitates integration of the student into the regular classroom.
• Maintains cooperative relationships with staff.
• Helps maintain appropriate behavior and boundaries.
• Works with teachers to create positive solutions to problems.
• Supports the child in developing personal and interpersonal skills.
• Maintains flexibility in classroom situations.
• Shows genuine concern and respect for students.
• Assists with arrival/dismissal of students, including walkers and bus riders.
• Rides bus with the student if specified in IEP/504.
• Sanitizes materials/equipment as per policy.
• Circulates to assist other students when the assigned student is not needed.
