The School District 170 is seeking a dedicated 1-on-1 Facilitator for Highland School in Chicago Heights, IL. You will closely support a student, helping with self-care, transitions, and integration into the regular classroom setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma; diabetic care training preferred or willingness to be trained. Immediate hire. Salary is $17 per hour with benefits as established by the Board of Education.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Diabetic care training preferred or willingness to be trained.

Responsabilités

• Assists the assigned student with self-help and self-care tasks (moving, toileting, etc.).
• Supports the student in transitions and in classroom activities.
• Accompanies the student to the office or other areas as needed.
• Fosters positive relationships to encourage independent functioning.
• Participates in professional development related to the assignment.
• Assists with arrival/dismissal and bus transportation as required.
