Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED prior to hire.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire date.
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP FPCC).
• 60 College Credit Hours/Associate’s Degree or paraprofessional test per Title I requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students individually or in groups on projects or assignments; aid in learning and use of skills.
• Prepare classrooms, materials, and handouts; photocopy materials and arrange seating.
• Monitor safety on playground and cafeteria; accompany students between areas and buses.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and behavior management as needed; maintain incident documentation.
• Communicate progress and concerns to parents and help interpret teacher communications.
