Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Concord, CA is hiring a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. The role is in-person, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with compensation at $22-$28 per hour based on experience, certification, and education.

An RBT certification is required or obtainable within 90 days (training paid).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students in a school setting.
• Implement individualized programs and collect data to track progress.
• Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills.
• Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
