Job summary

Crestwood School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional (1:1) to support students with diverse needs at Riverside Middle School. The role involves assisting teachers, providing one-on-one instruction, and promoting a positive classroom environment.

The paraprofessional will help with student safety, behavior management, and progress documentation, with duties across various locations within the district as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the specified education requirements.
• Knowledge of childhood development and disabilities is expected.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with students with special needs.
• Fluent in written and oral English; CPI certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom management and provide one-on-one or small group instructional support.
• Coordinate with teachers to plan individualized educational programs.
• Provide behavioral management and safety support for students.
• Maintain documentation of student progress and school records.
