Job summary

Aa210 is seeking an Aide Special Education ATS to support students with disabilities across classroom and campus settings, helping them access the curriculum in the least restrictive environment. You will assist teachers and document student progress within approved logs to support Individual Education Plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or passing score on the Para Professional Assessment of Knowledge.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired.
• De-Escalation/Restraint Certification preferred or required to obtain once hired (district-provided training).
• Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement preferred or required to obtain once hired.
• Proficient in using Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students to ensure safety and engagement in various settings (classroom, hallway, playground).
• Assist with student management by maintaining alert attention during supervision.
• Execute behavioral strategies per ARD documents; intervene using a continuum of strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and district staff on Community Based Instruction expectations.
• Maintain data, documentation, and student progress with teachers during activities.
• Implement academic/functional lessons under guidance of the teacher.
