Job summary

The position emphasizes collaboration with families, teachers, and district staff, with compensation for transportation time and potential contract renewals. Prior pediatric/school nursing experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license is required.
• Eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania school clearances for employment.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with children with multiple disabilities is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated compassion and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to a single student during school hours.
• Accompany the student on the school bus to and from home and school daily.
• Monitor and assess the student’s health status throughout the day.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as ordered.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date health documentation and records.
• Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and administrators.
• Adhere to district and Department of Health protocols and policies.
• Support the safety and well-being of the student.
