Job summary

Watertown Public Schools seeks an Instructional Assistant to support students in preschool with RBT 1:1 supervision. The role reports to the Principal and is aligned with the WEA Unit D contract, offering salary per the WEA Salary Scale.

The ideal candidate holds RBT certification, 1:1 support experience, and familiarity with ABA strategies. Bachelor’s degree preferred; prior public school experience is a plus. Immediate start date, with typical school-year duties.

Qualifications

• RBT certification and 1:1 support required or preferred.
• Experience with ABA methods and behavior plans.
• Experience assisting students with disabilities in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student data as directed by teachers/related service providers.
• Follow and implement behavior support plans.
• Support classroom teacher and student based on needs.
• Assist learning using student learning styles and development.
• Help with personal care needs (feeding, toileting).
• Adapt assistance when strategies aren’t effective.
• Provide verbal prompting and modeling to access curriculum.
• Perform other duties as required.
