Job summary

Methuen Public School District is seeking a 1:1 Program Assistant Foundations Sub for the Early Childhood Center. This role supports students with disabilities, assists with program implementation, and helps with behavior plans as directed by the BCBA and teachers.

Three openings are available; starting date is 09/01/2026 and salary is $32,632. Qualifications include a high school diploma (associates degree preferred) and experience with children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working with children/students.
• Experience assisting in program implementation.
• Ability to work with professional staff.
• Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings.
• Assist with behavior plan implementation as directed.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• May assist with feeding and toileting needs.
• Monitor attention, work completion, and social navigation.
• Perform duties as assigned by school administration and classroom teacher.

Supporting students with toileting & feeding needs; some students may require physical transfers; supporting instruction and implementing programs/lesson plans created by the special education teacher; escorting students to and from pick up/drop off locations during arrival and dismissal; supporting behavior plans as directed by BCBA and/or classroom teacher.

Salary - $32,632
