Job summary

Triumph in Taunton, MA, seeks a Teacher Assistant One-on-One to provide one-on-one mental health and disability services for a child with special needs. You will support curriculum activities and model Conscious Discipline in an inclusive classroom environment.

The role is full-time (30 hours/week), Monday–Friday, with the provided benefits package including medical, dental & vision coverage, life insurance, disability, 403B with match, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ECE certification preferred.
• Experience with children under five who have complex needs.
• Able to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to learn and implement Conscious Discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one mental health and disability services and interventions to enrolled child with special needs.
• Support implementation of curriculum activities and materials per Individualized Education and/or Behavior Plans.
• Model behavior management techniques, including Conscious Discipline.
• Assist teachers in creating an inclusive environment.

Teacher Assistant One-on-One

Triumph supports the education, well-being and self-sufficiency of young children and their families through high quality early childhood programs and community engagement.

As a Teacher Assistant One-on-One, you will provide one-on-one mental health and disability services and interventions to enrolled child with special needs. Support implementation of curriculum activities and materials in accordance with Individualized Education and/or Behavior Plans. Assist with and model behavior management techniques, including the use of Conscious Discipline. Assist teachers in creating an inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree with ECE Preschool Certification preferred
• Experience working with children under five who have complex needs
• Able to work sensitively and effectively with young children with varied physical and emotional capabilities and diverse cultural backgrounds
• Ability to learn and implement the Conscious Discipline approach

Benefits & Compensation

Salary range between $18.92 - $24.15/hr. dependent on education and experience
