Akron Children's in Akron, OH seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time, 35-hour-per-week onsite role within a school-based program. The LPN will provide skilled nursing care under RN supervision and support student health needs during school hours and a bus ride period.

The ideal candidate has an Ohio LPN license and BLS certification, with preferred one year of relevant experience. This position emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current, valid LPN license in Ohio.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed based on assignment.

Responsabilités

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under RN or provider supervision.
• Monitor and collect patient data including specimens and labs.
• Assist with discharge planning and provide bedside care as ordered.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health and self-care.
• Document all patient care in accordance with hospital policies.
