Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for Banner Home Health in Colorado. This PRN role focuses on one-on-one patient care in a home health setting, offering flexibility and the opportunity to build relationships with patients and caregivers.

The position requires a CNA in practice state, BLS certification, and strong organizational and communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable working under supervision in a dynamic environment with patient-focused duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA (state) license is required for new hires.
• Requires 1 year of medical clerical experience; hospital/physician office preferred.
• Ability to use medical terminology; computer literacy and keyboarding skills required.
• ECG interpretation course or on-the-job ECG interpretation training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and assist in the patient plan of care.
• Collect patient data including vital signs and input/output; document in the medical record.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility support.
• Perform procedures and assist with unit-specific tasks under supervision.
• Support reception/clerical duties to maintain departmental operations.
• Maintain complete patient records and ensure chart forms are filed and accessible.
• Assist with transport of patients and OR room turnover as assigned.
• Work in a fast-paced clinical environment with a focus on customer service.
