Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Paraprofessional for Central Intermediate School to support teachers with day-to-day classroom activities. The role involves one-on-one or small group instruction and assisting with curriculum tasks.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP-based strategies, managing behavior, and helping students with organization and study skills. Prominent communication with staff and supervision during activities is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must hold a current paraprofessional license (or PEL) with the ISBE.
• Maintain certification for Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists the instructor with classroom set-up and class preparations.
• Provides individual and/or small group instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Administers, scores, and records achievement and tests as required.
• Supports student development of organizational and study skills.
• Works with the teacher to reinforce material per IEP.
• Implements behavior management per classroom/IEP.
• Provides support in unstructured settings for students.
• Acts as resource person to students in general or special education settings.
• Maintains communication with school staff.
• Supervises students during drills, assemblies, recess and plan periods.
