Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or 60 college credits, or passing ParaPro exam.
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide student assistance by reinforcing learning and guiding independent study.
• Assist the teacher with strategies for individual students and with classroom materials.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, field trips, and instructional activities.
• Read to students and participate in oral communication.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and support student social/emotional needs.
