Responsibilities

• Works with individuals or small groups of students on specific skills or assignments.
• Provides frequent feedback to students during work.
• Assists in preparing materials and bulletin boards.
• Scores and corrects papers, quizzes, and tests.
• Assists with health care procedures as specified in IEPs.
• Supports students in group or classroom activities.
• Supervises students during arrival, dismissal, lunch and playground times.
• Helps with classroom documentation.
• Monitors students during daily transitions.
• Attends staff meetings, in-service and training programs.
• Attends student IEP meetings as required.
• Assists in supervision of field trips and assemblies and other school programs.
• Accompanies students to mainstreamed classes as needed.
• Supports implementation of students’ IEPs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
