Job summary

Olympia School District is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator to assist in supervising and instructing individual students, enabling placement in the least restrictive educational environment. The role requires collaboration with certificated staff on IEP planning and related supports.

This 6.0 hours per day, 180 days per year position includes medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance benefits, plus retirement options and paid leave as outlined in the CBA.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with implementing IEP plans and related goals.
• Create educational materials to support student progress toward IEP objectives.
• Collect and communicate data to help evaluate student progress.
• Administer first aid and address health care needs as required.
• Maintain student files and records for appropriate education planning.
• Monitor students to provide a safe, supportive learning environment.
