Job summary

Elwyn is hiring an Instructional Assistant, One-to-One (1:1) to provide individual support to an assigned student, aligning with IEP and BSP. The role operates within the school day, across transitions, with collaboration from the education team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience with school-age students who have intellectual or developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges, plus strong communication, teamwork, and data collection

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• For assigned student, support IEP/BSP goals and collect data.
• Observes and redirects student as needed to meet educational objectives.
• Assist with academics, behavior management, and life skills development.
• Escort students and supervise transitions and activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment and report safety issues.
• Participate in professional development and stay current with PDE expectations.
• Assist with crisis management per agency protocols.
