Job summary

San Juan Unified School District in Sierra Oaks is seeking an Elementary Instructional Assistant II for 1:1 support of students with mild/moderate needs. This part-time role runs 6 hours per day, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, at the Sierra Oaks site.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be prepared to attach required documents. Per district policy, CBEST or equivalent proficiency may be required; pre-qualifications are outlined in the posting.

Qualifications

• Experience with students in Resource or Special Day Class settings.
• Ability to run small groups and support teachers in general and special education.
• Willingness to obtain required California credentials/tests as listed.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups.
• Support teacher needs in both General Ed and Special Education settings.
• Assist 1:1 with students with mild/moderate support needs.
