Job summary

San Juan Unified seeks an Instructional Assistant II – 1:1 Mild/Moderate Support at Dewey. This 6-hour per day role (0.75 FTE) supports students in various programs and aids the teacher during instruction.

The ideal candidate will have experience with 1:1 support, be able to run small groups, and assist in General Education or Special Day Class settings. A High School Diploma and passage of CBEST or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with students in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Willing and able to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days if required.
• Passing the IA Proficiency Test or CBEST is required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in Special Day Class settings or General Education.
• Support the teacher's needs during instruction.
