Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant II for 1:1 support in a Mild/Moderate program. The role involves running small groups, supporting students with mild/moderate needs, and assisting the teacher in both Special Day Class and General Education settings.

Candidates must attach a High School Diploma or equivalent and either CBEST or IA Proficiency Test results. A CA Class C Driver License may be required within 30 days of hire in some programs.

Qualifications

• Must attach High School Diploma or equivalent and one document from the required list.
• Passing the IA Proficiency Test or CBEST is required.
• If degree/transcripts are from a foreign college, coursework must be evaluated for US equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in Special Day Class or General Education settings.
• Support the teacher's needs and classroom operations.
