Columbus Humanities Arts & Technology Academy (CHATA) in Columbus, OH, is seeking a 1:1 Instructional Aide to support teachers and promote positive student behavior in academics and activities. You will help implement instructional plans, supervise events, and assist with classroom technology, while upholding the school’s mission.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, MS Office proficiency, and a successful background check.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or passing the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups and follows instructional plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports teacher in student/parent relations.
• Assists with school activities (parent nights, faculty meetings, assemblies, etc.).
• Performs clerical duties including grading papers and making copies.
• Assists the teacher with classroom technology usage.
• Maintains cleanliness of classroom, lunchroom, and other areas.
• Adheres to school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Performs other duties including field trips and duty coverage.
