Job summary

Lunenburg Public Schools seeks an In-Home Special Education Tutor / ABA Specialist to work with a 3rd-grade, nonverbal student in the child’s home, providing targeted instruction in academics, communication, and development.

The role is part-time (10–15 hours/week) with 5 hours of prep time, $80.00 per hour, starting immediately through January 2027 with potential extension. MA licensure and experience in ABA/DTT are required.

Qualifications

• Active MA Educator License in Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities (All Levels or PreK–8) required.
• ABA/DTT expertise with nonverbal learners with ASD.
• Hands-on MCAS-Alt portfolio preparation/experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of direct work with nonverbal autistic children preferred.
• Clearances: background check (CORI/SORI) and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home instruction focusing on foundational academic skills, functional communication, and cognitive development.
• Design and implement ABA and DTT programs tailored to the student’s needs.
• Prepare MCAS-Alt portfolios and manage evidence for assessment needs.
• Collect data on progress, behaviors, and skill development to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with parents and other providers to ensure consistency across home and school settings.
