Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong desire to work with students with Special Needs.
• Implement individualized ABA programs and behavior intervention plans as designed by the BCBA.
• Provide direct 1:1 or small-group instruction to support students in the development of communication, social, academic, and self-care skills.
• Utilize reinforcement strategies and data-driven techniques to encourage positive behavior.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on student progress and behavior throughout sessions.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to review data and adjust programming.
• Support students during transitions, mealtimes, and classroom activities as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support carryover of skills across settings.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment at all times.
• Adhere to all district and special education policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with each student's IEP and/or 504 Plan.
• Tutors within the New England Center for Children (NECC) programs are required to work the Extended School Year Program in addition to the school year.
