Job summary

Edmonds School District is seeking a paraeducator to work collaboratively with certificated staff in classrooms and learning environments. You will assist with instructional support, supervise students, and help prepare educational materials while monitoring progress, behavior and safety.

The position covers 6.5 hours per day on a 181 day calendar and is non-continuing for the 2026-2027 year. It’s a non-exempt role with hourly compensation in the 2026-27 salary schedule.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Possess an associate degree or higher, or 72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits at 100 level+.
• Completion of a registered Paraeducator apprenticeship or PESB assessments as specified.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional support and student supervision in classrooms or other learning environments.
• Prepare educational materials and monitor students' progress, behavior, and safety.
• Perform routine clerical tasks to support teachers and district staff.
