Job summary

Bangor School Department seeks an Educational Technician III to support a 1:1 Grade 4 student in the Bangor Regional Therapeutic Day Program. Work hours are 7.5 per day, 7:30–3:30, with emphasis on safety and positive behavior support.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or 90 credit hours, experience with emotional disabilities, ability to implement IEPs and behavior plans, and effective communication with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 90 credit hours required.
• Experience in emotional disability programs preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior-management strategies necessary.
• Ability to implement IEPs and behavior plans.
• Excellent communication with students and staff.
• Experience in elementary/high schools preferred.
• Supervision and behavior management skills essential.
• Willingness to use ABA discrete trial instruction.

Responsibilities

• Support 1:1 student in Grade 4 with behavioral supports.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement plans.
• Assist with safety care strategies as needed.
• May assist with toileting and related duties.
