Job summary

The Bangor School Department is seeking an Educational Technician for the Grade 9-12 Bangor Regional Therapeutic Day Program. This role requires a commitment to implementing behavior management strategies and supporting individual education plans for students.

Ideal candidates will have authorization as an Educational Technician III, along with a collaborative spirit and a background in educational settings. This position is essential in assisting students with emotional disabilities and requires both teamwork and a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Authorization as an Educational Technician III required.
• Experience working in an elementary and/or high school setting helpful.
• Experience working in a program for children with emotional disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior plans and individual education plans.
• Assist with toileting if necessary.
• Work in a team approach environment.

Skills

Knowledge of behavior management strategies

Ability to implement behavior plans and individual education plans

Ability to work in a team approach environment

Ability to use ABA discrete trial instruction

Education

Three years post secondary education or 90 credit hours
