Job summary

Seaford School District is seeking a Special School Paraeducator for a 1:1 BOEC position at Central Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a temporary, full-time assignment under the supervision of certified staff to support students with autism and meet instructional goals.

Responsibilities include assisting instructional personnel in teaching, modeling independence and social skills, monitoring progress on IEPs, and ensuring a safe, supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 60 credit hours college coursework or passing ParaPro Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel in education and supervision of students.
• Support students with autism to foster independence and social skills.
• Assist in delivery of lesson plans and learning materials.
• Monitor progress toward individual education plans and goals.
• Maintain a safe, orderly learning environment.
• Assist with basic personal care as needed.
• Attend specialized training as required.
