Job summary

Seaford School District seeks a Special Schools Paraeducator for a 1:1 PreK program at Seaford High School (BOEC- 1:1- PreK). The role supports certified staff, assists with students with autism, and helps implement lesson plans and behavioral goals.

Employment is temporary for the 2026-2027 school year, with data-driven progress monitoring and instruction in a high-needs setting. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 60 college credits or ParaPro assessment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent AND 60 college credits or ParaPro assessment.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to understand and use Word and Excel.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with education, training, and supervision of students with autism.
• Foster independence, self-reliance and social skills.
• Assist in delivery of lesson plans and materials.
• Monitor progress toward individual education plans and goals.
• Assist students with varied instructional activities and positive reinforcement.
