Job summary

Seaford School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist certified staff in educating students with autism. You will support instructional activities, monitor progress on IEP goals, and help maintain a safe classroom environment.

Under supervision, you will provide classroom support, reinforce learning, and assist with tests and activities across elementary and middle grades as needed. The position is full-time with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 college credits OR passing Para-Pro Assessment required.
• Temporary position; ends on June 30th.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel in education, training, and supervision of students with autism.
• Apply strategies to foster independence, self-reliance and social skills.
• Assist with delivery of lesson plans and instructional exercises.
• Monitor progress on individual education plans and goals.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
