Job Description
Cosmo Prof - Assistant Manager
Essential Function
Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager in all outlined areas and are responsible for all Primary Duties when the Store Manager is not present.
Primary Duties
- Brand (30%): Supervise and support associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, and dress code are met. Act as the main contact to resolve customer issues. Analyze store trends to anticipate customer demands.
- People (30%): Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit actively to build a strong network of candidates. Identify strengths and opportunities for associates and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations and communicate regularly with team and peers. Foster diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Operations (30%): Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Support digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Follow through on directives and projects.
- Safety/Loss Prevention (10%): Maintain a safe environment for staff and customers. Protect company assets by following inventory and cash control procedures. Ensure compliance with HAZMAT training and policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Preferred: 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
- Preferred: 1+ year management experience
- Ability to lead and support teams to meet objectives
- Effective communication skills
- Scheduling availability
- Cosmetology license desirable but not required
