Overview

Liquor Barn, Party Mart, and DEP'S (BRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of GoPuff, operating retail stores of spirits, beer, wine, and party goods across Kentucky. We have 23 locations including Louisville, Lexington, Danville, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Owensboro, and Northern Kentucky, with delivery reaching 80% of Kentucky residents.

Role Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and managing daily store operations. The role involves motivating staff, enforcing company policies, and ensuring safety and security.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to enhance sales and handle challenging situations
  • Manage inventory and assist in reviewing orders
  • Collaborate with corporate, vendors, and the buying team
  • Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff
  • Coach employees to improve customer experience
  • Maintain expert knowledge of BRS products for customer recommendations
  • Communicate with the General Manager on business and team needs
  • Support performance management and provide feedback
  • Participate in hiring processes and conduct interviews
  • Ensure compliance with company standards
  • Assist in scheduling to optimize sales and manage payroll
  • Implement marketing, promotions, and events
  • Verify pricing, signage, and displays
  • Perform cashier duties and ensure policy adherence
  • Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and standards in all areas
  • Participate in product education and training sessions
Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • At least 3 years retail management experience
  • Ability to work full-time including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Desire for continuous learning about retail sales and products
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
