Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America seeks a skilled maintenance technician to inspect, maintain, and repair crushers, conveyors, screens, and other quarry processing equipment. You will diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime while supporting safe, reliable plant operations.

This role requires reading maintenance manuals and drawings, welding and fabrication as needed, and collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, maintain, and repair crushers, conveyors, screens, and other quarry processing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities to support safe and reliable plant operations.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.

What Are We Looking For

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment in a heavy manufacturing, mining, or aggregate environment.
• Working knowledge of conveyors, crushers, pumps, hydraulic systems, and mobile or stationary plant equipment.
• Ability to safely perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and mechanical repair tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, equipment drawings, and repair procedures.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
