Workshop Service Technician

Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced service technician to maintain and repair electric motors and generators at the İzmir Service Center. The role involves performing workshop tasks, executing service plans at customer sites when required, and preparing test reports to ensure quality.

You will work with electrical and mechanical systems while upholding health and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of related experience, welding and machining skills, and an ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Vocational High School or Vocational College in Electrical Engineering/Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of service experience in a similar role.
• Preferably experienced in maintenance, repair, and testing of high-voltage electric motors and generators.
• Skilled in mechanical maintenance, assembly and disassembly.
• Able to perform welding operations (MIG/MAG and/or stick).
• Knowledge of lathe machine operation and safe use of cutting discs, grinding tools, and hand tools.
• Capable of reading technical drawings and using measuring instruments.
• Committed to health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Residing in İzmir or willing to relocate.
• Holder of a valid Class B driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair activities on electric motors and generators in the İzmir Service Center workshop.
• Execute service activities and work plans prepared by the Service Engineer, in workshop and at customer sites.
• Prepare service test reports and documentation to ensure quality standards.
• Ensure service tools and equipment are maintained and in good condition.
• Contribute to safe and efficient workshop operations.
