Job summary

ABB is seeking a Production Process Engineer to optimize assembly methods, processes and equipment to reduce labor hours while aligning with quality, efficiency, cost, and safety goals. You will define phase sequences for new processes, ensure methods and cycle-times meet targets, and drive improvements across production.

Responsibilities include processing design approvals, start-up support, and evaluating new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or manufacturing-related disciplines.
• Requires 2+ years of production development experience.
• Excellent command of English; Turkish knowledge is a must.

Responsibilities

• Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve targeted product cost and equipment investment budgets.
• Ensures appropriate production methods, cycle-time, equipment performance, and materials for production targets.
• Identifies and implements improvement opportunities with respect to time frame, quality and cost requirements.
• Ensures the production process complies with project targets and approves designs for processes developed internally or externally.
• Performs final tests on processes and provides support to production during start-up, defining action plans and training resources.
• Evaluates new process technologies, leads testing activities, and selects external providers where needed.
