Job summary

AVL Research and Engineering Turkey seeks an Automotive Software Engineer to drive requirements engineering, algorithm development and in-vehicle software testing for advanced vehicle and propulsion systems.

The role includes analyzing measurements, preparing technical reports, and presenting findings. Fluent English and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Control Engineering are required, with willingness to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Control Engineering.
• Fluent in English, strong written and spoken communication.
• At least 2 years of automotive experience.
• Strong communication, presentation and planning skills.
• Willingness to frequent and long-term travel.

Profile Description

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control Engineering
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive
• Good communication, presentation and planning skills
• Fast learner, treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop
• Willingness to frequent and long-term travel

And a Good Understanding Of The Following Topics

• EV thermal management architectures, thermodynamic cycles, and explicitly Heat Pump system layouts (coolant/refrigerant routing, valve management, HVAC integration).
• Automotive Powertrain (Conventional and Electrified)
• System Dynamics & Modelling, Controller and Estimation Algorithm Design and Implementation
• Vehicle communications (e.g. CAN bus)
• Model based SW development ( e.g. MATLAB, Simulink)
• Vehicle testing (CANape, CANalyzer, INCA)
