AVL Research & Engineering Turkey is seeking an Electronic Hardware Safety Engineer to join our team in Istanbul. This role focuses on safety-critical hardware for automotive ECUs, inverters and BMS, leveraging ISO 26262 and related safety analyses to ensure robust hardware design.

You will perform SPFM, LFM and PMHF measurements, evaluate architectures against ASIL goals, and collaborate with customers, suppliers and assessors to strengthen our safety culture and processes.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of experience in related area.
• Strong understanding of hardware development.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
• Experience with FTA, FMEDA and DFA.
• Experience in automotive hardware development for safety-critical systems.
• Understanding of safety architectures, diagnostic concepts, and safety mechanisms.
• Experience with semiconductor components, power electronics, microcontrollers, and hardware safety analysis.
• Familiarity with requirements management and safety tools (e.g. Ansys Medini Analyze, APIS IQ-FMEA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Perform safety analysis for next generation automotive ECUs (electronic control unit), Inverters and BMS.
• Drive hardware safety metrics analysis (SPFM, LFM, PMHF).
• Evaluate hardware architectures against safety goals and ASIL requirements.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and external assessors on safety-related topics.
• Contribute to process improvements and the organization's functional safety culture.
• Support project and quality management activities.
