Job summary

AVL Research and Engineering Turkey is seeking a Safety Specialist to perform safety analyses for next generation automotive ECUs, inverters and BMS. You will drive hardware safety metrics (SPFM, LFM, PMHF) and evaluate architectures against ASIL requirements.

You will interface with customers, suppliers, and assessors on safety topics, contribute to process improvements, and support project and quality management activities. Fluent English is required, with strong hardware development knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related area.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety Standard.
  • Proven experience performing FTA, FMEDA and DFA.
  • Experience in automotive hardware development for safety-critical systems.
  • Understanding of safety architectures, diagnostic concepts, and safety mechanisms.
  • Experience with semiconductor components, power electronics, microcontrollers, and hardware safety analysis.
  • Familiarity with requirements management and safety tools (e.g. Ansys Medini Analyze, APIS IQ-FMEA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English.
