Job summary

Softtech is seeking a Manual Test Specialist to join the Professional Services team in Turkey. You will plan, execute, and report testing across Frontend, Mobile, Web and Backend applications in a hybrid work setting.

The role emphasizes functional, regression, and end-to-end testing with API testing and data validation, in collaboration with agile teams. ISTQB is a plus and strong communication is essential.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; strong testing mindset.
• Experience in software testing in banking/finance is preferred.
• Knowledge of test techniques and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with BA and Dev teams to assess requirements and testability.
• Support UAT and document defects with steps and logs.
• Assist automation teams and help transition manual tests to automation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and continuous improvement.

What makes you a good fit:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field,
• Residing in Istanbul or Ankara and available to work from the office during designated periods,
• Experience in software testing processes within the banking and financial services industry,
• Strong knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing methodologies,
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms,
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing and data validation processes,
• Experience using project management, test management, and defect tracking tools such as Jira, ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar solutions,
• Knowledge of test automation processes and willingness to gain further experience in automation testing practices,
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and adopting agile development principles,
• Strong analytical thinking skills with a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and solution-driven mindset,
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and flexible working conditions,
• ISTQB certifications (Foundation Level, Advanced Test Analyst, or similar) are considered a plus,
• Knowledge of core banking domains such as Loans, Payment Systems, Money Transfers, Investments, and related banking products is a plus,
• Interest in AI-powered testing solutions, intelligent test automation, and modern quality assurance practices.

• Plan, execute, and report testing activities for Frontend, Mobile, Web, and Backend applications,
• Design and perform functional, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios to ensure high-quality software delivery,
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysis and Software Development teams to analyze requirements and evaluate testability,
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and contribute to successful business validations,
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects with detailed reproduction steps and logs through test and project management tools,
