Job summary

Karadeniz Holding is seeking a Technical Inspection Engineer (Electrical & Automation) to join our Operational Excellence team at the Kağıthane, Istanbul head office. You will lead technical audits, assess electrical systems, and drive reliability improvements across global power-generation assets.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics, 5+ years in related industries, and proficiency in PLC/DCS/SCADA, SAP PM, and English (B2+).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in maritime, power generation, shipbuilding, or industrial sectors.
• Experience with medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, power distribution, generator protection, and control systems.
• Good working knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical protection systems, relay coordination, and power system engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of equipment automation, instrumentation, and protection systems.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), risk assessment, and reliability engineering methodologies.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, technical drawings, and maintenance documentation.
• Experience with ERP/CMMS platforms, preferably SAP PM.
• Excellent written and spoken English (Upper-Intermediate B2) and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of technical audit activities across power generation plants to ensure compliance with corporate management systems and regulations.
• Coordinate technical audits and inspections of electrical generation, distribution, automation, and control systems across sites.
• Prepare comprehensive technical incident and failure investigation reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Evaluate operating practices and identify opportunities for improvement with actionable recommendations.
• Monitor equipment performance trends and reliability of electrical protection systems and automation.
• Participate in RCA investigations and failure reviews to implement preventive measures.
• Identify reliability risks and maintenance deficiencies; develop engineering solutions to improve asset reliability.
• Contribute to initiatives enhancing equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with plant operations teams, OEMs, and technical specialists to support projects.
• Support engineering capability development through training and knowledge sharing.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.

• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and failure reviews, contributing to the implementation of preventive measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify reliability risks, recurring equipment failures, and maintenance deficiencies, and support the development of engineering solutions to improve asset reliability and operational performance.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and system availability.
• Collaborate closely with plant operations teams, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and third-party technical specialists to support the successful execution of technical audit activities and engineering improvement projects.
• Support the development of engineering capabilities by contributing to technical training programs, knowledge sharing initiatives, and the promotion of engineering best practices across the organization.
