Job summary

IONA Engineering, an EPC contractor for industrial biogas, biomethane and renewables, is expanding its Ankara Technical Office with two certified Technical Designers to develop high-fidelity 2D/3D fabrication models for Türkiye & India.

Location is 100% office-based at the Ankara HQ. Candidates will draft P&IDs, GA layouts, and collaborate with process, civil, and mechanical engineers using AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Education in mechanical engineering or drafting with formal validation.
• 5+ years of professional design/drafting for industrial piping and large-scale infra.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D is required; Plant 3D, Revit, and SolidWorks are assets.
• Professional English for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Piping and process drafting: 2D P&IDs and 3D layouts for industrial piping.
• Fabrication modeling: GA and detailed blueprints for heavy assemblies and foundations.
• Design synchronization: coordinate with process, civil, and mechanical engineers to resolve conflicts.
• Data management & ERP: update as-built field designs and revisions in ERP.
• P&ID literacy & proposals: analyze PFDs and P&IDs to reflect equipment take-offs.

WE ARE HIRING: TECHNICAL DESIGNER & PROPOSAL MANAGER (2 VACANCIES)

About IONA Engineering

We are an EPC contractor specializing in industrial biogas, biomethane, and renewable energy facilities. Expanding our Ankara Technical Office, we seek two technically certified Technical Designers to develop high-fidelity 2D/3D fabrication models for our international sites (Türkiye & India).

Location: 100% Office-Based (Ankara HQ).

Key Responsibilities

1- Piping & Process Drafting: Execute collision-checked 2D P&IDs and 3D layouts for industrial piping, gas compression, and fluid loops.

2- Fabrication Modeling: Develop General Arrangement (GA) and micro-detailed blueprints for heavy mechanical assemblies, steel structures, and foundations.

3- Design Synchronization: Collaborate with process, civil, and mechanical engineers to implement real-time modifications and resolve spatial conflicts.

4- Data Management & ERP: Update as-built field designs and catalog drawing revisions systematically within the ERP system.

5- P&ID Literacy & Proposals: Analyze Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and P&IDs in EPC projects to accurately reflect mechanical/electromechanical equipment take-offs.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s, Associate Degree, or Technical Diploma directly in Mechanical Engineering, CAD, or industrial drafting. (Formal academic validation required). * Experience: 5+ years professional design/drafting focused on industrial piping, heavy machinery, and large-scale energy/civil infrastructure. * Software: Advanced AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is mandatory. 3D plant modeling (AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, SolidWorks) is highly advantageous. * Language: Professional English (written/reading) for global engineering codes and technical manuals.
