Job summary

HMT LLC in Izmir, Turkey, is seeking a Design Engineer to design and develop storage tanks and related equipment for oil & gas, chemicals, and water treatment. This role involves cross‑functional collaboration, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and using engineering software to create detailed designs.

This is a full-time in‑office position with occasional international travel (<5%), reporting to the Supervisor of Engineering to meet technical requirements, production feasibility, and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Strong drafting ability with proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Excellent communication in English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with an international Engineering team to execute assigned drafting and design projects.
• Create and update fabrication and construction drawing sets using AutoCAD 2D.
• Manage effectively and take ownership of assigned Engineering projects, including drawing packages and calculation reports.
• Communicate daily and weekly progress with the Engineering team Lead.
• Learn API 650 code and apply it to daily tasks.

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing storage tanks and related equipment used in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, water treatment, and more. This position is ideal for a technically skilled individual with a passion for design and problem‑solving in the industrial engineering space. It is a full‑time in‑office job, Monday to Friday, with an opportunity for international travel (<5%). You will report to the Supervisor of Engineering and ensure designs meet technical requirements, production feasibility, and budget constraints.
