Job summary

Döhler Turkey is seeking a Teamlead Application (Beverage & Food) to manage the application team at the Maltepe Office in Istanbul. The role involves leading recipe development, ensuring SAP parameter accuracy, and coordinating with the Sampling Lab and Pilot Plant for customer projects.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in Food or Chemical Engineering, have 5+ years in a lab environment, and 2+ years of team leadership experience, with strong English and SAP/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory (food & beverage preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the application team, ensuring motivation, performance, and technical capability.
• Oversee development and maintenance of beverage or food recipes for customer and innovation projects.
• Manage creation, approval, and accuracy of recipes and process parameters in SAP.
• Coordinate customer sample production with Sampling Lab and Pilot Plant.
• Ensure lab trials are executed correctly and organize tastings for product development.
• Plan and manage resources (people, material, financial) in line with budget.
• Maintain compliance with legal requirements and internal regulations for product development.
• Drive digital transformation and optimize business processes.
• Support shelf-life and product-specific tests and adjust as needed.
• Maintain accurate technical data in digital systems and databases.
• Collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.

Your Role

• Leading and developing the application team, ensuring motivation, performance, and technical capability,
• Ensuring the development and maintenance of beverage or food recipes for customer and innovation projects,
• Managing the creation, approval, and accuracy of recipes and process parameters in SAP,
• Overseeing customer sample production, coordinating with the Sampling Lab and Pilot Plant,
• Ensuring correct execution of lab trials and organize tastings for product development,
• Planning and manage resources (human, material, financial) in alignment with budget,
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal product development regulations,
• Driving digital transformation initiatives and optimize business processes,
• Supporting the implementation of shelf-life and product-specific tests, adjusting when needed,
• Maintaining accurate technical data in digital systems and databases,
• Collaborating with commercial and supply chain teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
• Participating in customer meetings and production trials when needed,
• Managing cross-functional communication and ensure alignment with related departments,
• Leading projects in line with strategic goals, ensuring timely and correct system process execution,
• Optimizing recipe portfolio with focus on cost, resource efficiency, and product quality.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering departments,
• Min. 5 years of experience in laboratory (food & beverage experience is preferred),
• Min. 2 years of team management experience,
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP,
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English,
• Good team player, strong communication skills,
• Analytical thinking with innovative point of view, high problem solving skill,
• Willing to take initiative and responsibility.
