Job summary

Digiturk is seeking a senior leader to shape the sports content strategy across platforms, guiding editorial priorities and rights management. You will orchestrate multi‑platform programs, optimize scheduling for prime-time, and ensure high-quality delivery of live content with global reach.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, drive viewer engagement through innovative formats, and steer digital strategies to grow audience and brand presence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall sports content and programming strategy across all platforms, ensuring alignment with editorial priorities and business objectives.
• Oversee program planning, scheduling, and prime-time optimization to maximise audience engagement.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of sports content in coordination with live events, leagues, and international competitions.
• Drive development of innovative sports formats and content concepts for evolving audiences and platforms.
• Lead digital and social content strategies to extend reach and strengthen brand presence.

IDEAL PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in sports broadcasting, content production, or media leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-platform sports content operations within a competitive broadcast or digital media environment.
• Extensive experience managing senior teams and cross-functional organizations at scale, including editorial, production, and digital functions.
• Deep expertise in both local and international sports media ecosystems, including rights-driven content environments.
• Strong executive-level leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to set vision, build high-performing teams and drive organizational transformation.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities in fast-paced, high-pressure live content environments.
• Strong storytelling vision with the ability to shape brand-defining sports content across multiple platforms.
• Proven experience in budget ownership, financial planning, and operational P&L awareness at a senior leadership level.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, at executive communication level.
• Strong understanding of audience behavior, ratings dynamics, and data-driven content optimization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Define and execute the overall sports content and programming strategy across all platforms, ensuring alignment with editorial priorities, broadcasting rights, and business objectives.
• Oversee program planning, scheduling, and prime-time optimization to maximize audience engagement and viewership performance.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery of sports content in coordination with live events, leagues, and international competitions.
• Drive the development of innovative sports formats, shows, and content concepts tailored to evolving audience behaviors and platform needs.
• Lead digital and social content strategies to extend reach, increase engagement, and strengthen brand presence across emerging and established platforms.
• Oversee on-screen talent strategy and performance, ensuring strong content contribution and alignment with brand and editorial tone.
• Monitor audience insights, ratings, and digital analytics to continuously improve content performance and programming decisions.
• Collaborate closely with production, technical, rights, compliance, and commercial teams to ensure seamless end-to-end content execution.
• Manage budgets and resources across all sports programming and digital content operations, ensuring efficient and strategic allocation.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, platform innovations, and audience dynamics to continuously evolve content strategy and competitive positioning.
