Job summary

Digiturk is seeking a senior broadcast operations leader to direct live TV and web broadcasts, develop plans, and oversee day-to-day facility operations.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in broadcast operations, 5+ in team leadership, strong knowledge of playout, IP-based transmission, OTT platforms, and English fluency. You will lead a cross-functional team and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related fields; Master’s preferred in broadcast systems or media infrastructure.
• 12+ years in broadcast operations with at least 5 years in a team leadership role.
• Advanced knowledge of live broadcast workflows, playout systems, uplink, and OTT platforms.
• Hands-on experience with automation systems and fault diagnostics.
• Strong budgeting, vendor management and operational efficiency.
• Fluent in English with strong broadcast terminology.

Responsibilities

• Directing and coordinating the live broadcast of television and web-based programs.
• Developing and implementing broadcast plans and strategies.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the broadcast facility.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Oversee budgeting and financial management for the operations department.
• Manage technical infrastructure, including equipment maintenance and upgrades.
• Coordinate between production, engineering, and technical teams.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers for technical support.
• Quickly resolve issues and provide alternative solutions during equipment failures.
• Supervise the technical support team to ensure high-quality service.
• Maintain and troubleshoot video, audio, and transmission equipment.
• Install and test new broadcast equipment and systems.
• Set up and manage equipment for live broadcasts and events.
• Collaborate with creative teams to implement system updates.
• Lead, develop, and coach broadcast operations team; ensure accountability.

IDEAL PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in related fields,
• Preferably a Master’s degree in broadcast systems, media infrastructure, or broadcast engineering,
• 12+ years of experience in broadcast operations, with at least 5 years in a team leadership role,
• Advanced knowledge of live broadcast workflows, playout systems, uplink, IP-based signal transmission, and OTT platforms,
• Hands‑on experience with automation systems, video/audio transmission equipment, and fault diagnostics,
• Proven track record in budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, and operational efficiency,
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure,
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent command of broadcast technical terminology,

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Stay updated on industry trends and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Lead, develop, and communicate effectively with the broadcast operations team; foster collaboration, provide coaching, and ensure accountability for performance and results.
