Job summary

Digiturk, a pioneer in digital broadcasting in Turkey, seeks an experienced Internal Audit leader to audit operations, design risk-based plans, and improve internal controls within a dynamic media environment. You will report to Group Internal Audit and influence top management decisions.

The role requires 15+ years in auditing with 8+ years in management, strong English, and professional certifications such as CIA or CPA/CFA/CISA/CMA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience and 8+ years in managerial roles.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• CIA preferred; CPA/CFA/CISA/CMA or equivalent certifications welcomed.
• Strong knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards.
• Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Understanding of reporting procedures and regulations.
• Proven leadership with matrix management experience.
• Ability to work under pressure with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Audit all company operations, transactions and processes and report results to Group Internal Audit and Company leadership.
• Prepare risk-focused audit plans and ensure implementation.
• Review effectiveness of internal control systems across departments.
• Audit conformance with governance principles and ethical values.
• Evaluate risk management efficiency and recommend improvements.
• Analyze finances and resource use, propose cost savings and productivity gains.

IDEAL PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance or other closely related field,
• Minimum 15 years of working experience and minimum 8 years experience in managerial positions, preferably experience in media, broadcasting, pay-TV, telecommunications, or technology-driven businesses is preferred,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English,
• Preference will be given to candidates holding the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification. Other relevant professional certifications, including CPA, CFA, CISA, CMA, or equivalent recognized professional qualifications, will also be considered,
• Strong knowledge of the IIA Global Internal Audit Standards and applicable internal audit professional practices,
• Knowledge of Accounting and Finance Principles and Practices,
• Knowledge of a variety of reporting procedures, regulations and law,
• Planning and Time Management , effective communication and human Relations skills, critical thinking and analysis, tenacity and ethics,
• Technology Proficient (excel, word, visio, ability to learn new software),
• Experienced in team management and strong communication skills,
• High degree of initiative and attention to details,
• Having team leadership and matrix organization management experience,
• Strong management guest and client relationships,
• Ability to work under pressure,
• Strong decision making, leadership and managerial skills,
• Good understanding of the media, broadcasting, pay-TV and digital services industry, including key business, technology, regulatory and emerging risks,
• Demonstrates high standards of integrity, professional ethics, objectivity, independence, confidentiality and professional judgment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Auditing the Company’s all operations, transactions and processes and reporting internal audit results to the Group Internal Audit and, where applicable, to the Company Chairman and/or Vice Chairman of the Board, in accordance with the approved Group Internal Audit governance and reporting framework,
• Preparing risk-focused audit plans and ensuring the implementation thereof,
• Reviewing and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control system of departments,
• Auditing conformance with corporate governance principles and ethical values,
• Evaluating efficiency of risk management process and make recommendations,
• Performing financial analyses and evaluations of Company’s resource utilization and activities & operations and developing suggestions about cost savings and productivity enhancement in accordance with the strategic decisions taken by the senior management,
• Provide consultancy services in needed areas and performing or participating special-purpose studies,
• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics, integrity, objectivity, independence and confidentiality across the Internal Audit function, in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards and the Company’s Code of Ethics,
• Establishing and maintaining a Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) to assess and continuously improve the quality, effectiveness and conformance of the Internal Audit function with the Global Internal Audit Standards.
