Job summary

adesso Turkey is seeking an On-Call Support Engineer for Snowflake and Data Platform to join a fast-paced, cross-functional team delivering enterprise-grade products for local and global markets.

You will monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot Snowflake environments, and collaborate with IT consultants, delivery managers, DevOps, QA and developers to resolve incidents and improve data integrity. English proficiency is essential for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience implementing data warehouse or data integration solutions on Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, Snowflake, SQL/HQL, Python, PySpark, Airflow and Git.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake utilities and concepts, including SnowSQL, SnowPipe, tables, roles, Virtual Warehouses, data sharing and clones.
• Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, stored procedures and query optimisation.
• Experience using Python for scripting and working with relational databases or PySpark in an analytical context.
• Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to collaborate with clients and distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Snowflake and data integration processes during assigned support periods, and respond to production incidents and service interruptions.
• Investigate failed or delayed data jobs and pipelines, including processes involving SnowPipe, dbt.
• Use SQL, Python scripts and Snowflake utilities to diagnose issues, assess data quality and support service recovery.
• Validate data for accuracy and completeness, identify data issues and help maintain data integrity.
• Work with business owners and cross-functional teams—including IT consultants, delivery managers, DevOps, QA and developers—to coordinate incident resolution and communicate progress.
• Document incidents and resolution steps, and identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues through improvements or automation.
• Support the delivery of project tasks and milestones in collaboration with clients and colleagues.
